Empowering Youth Workers Against Greenwashing: Discover the GreenComm Project!

We live in an era where environmental claims are everywhere. But as the conversation around climate change grows louder, so does the noise of “greenwashing” and environmental disinformation. How can youth workers, educators, and NGO professionals separate scientific fact from corporate marketing?

Enter GreenComm (Green Communication and Media Literacy in Youth Work)-a groundbreaking Erasmus+ VET initiative designed to bring digital professionalization and scientific integrity to the European youth sector.

Co-created by a consortium of dedicated organizations across Europe-Jump to Green Stichting (The Netherlands), EFTA (Turkey), and Voolab OÜ (Estonia)-GreenComm transitions environmental communication from a general awareness topic into a high-level technical discipline.

What We Achieved: The GreenComm Ecosystem

After months of intensive research, pedagogical design, and technical development, we are thrilled to announce that all our intellectual outputs are now live and fully accessible to the public.

We have built a comprehensive, zero-cost digital ecosystem aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 5 standards. Here is what you can find inside:

  • The GreenComm MOOC (VET Modules): A robust online learning environment featuring interactive modules. It goes beyond basic ecology, training learners in forensic media analysis, the scientific traceability of climate datasets, and psychological inoculation techniques against disinformation.

  • The Practitioner’s Toolkit (Action Laboratory): A highly practical set of tools designed to help organizations transform their communication departments into “Green Newsrooms.” Use it to audit your own environmental messaging and ensure your campaigns are scientifically accurate and ethically sound.

  • Automated Certification: Upon mastering the modules and successfully completing the traceability checks, participants are awarded a shareable “Certificate of Professional Competence,” providing verifiable proof of their specialized skills.
